To use a green screen on iMovie, follow these steps:
-
Open iMovie and create a new project. Import the video clip that you want to use as the background and the video clip that you want to superimpose on top of the background.
-
Drag the background video clip to the timeline at the bottom of the screen. Then, drag the foreground video clip on top of the background clip.
-
Click on the foreground clip to select it, and then click on the “Video Overlay Settings” button located in the top right corner of the preview window.
-
In the Video Overlay Settings menu, select the “Green/Blue Screen” option. Then, select the color of your green screen. This will remove the green background from your foreground clip.
-
Adjust the settings to fine-tune the keying effect. You can adjust the tolerance, edge thickness, and other parameters to get the best result.
-
Once you have adjusted the settings, click on the “Apply” button to apply the effect to your video clip.
-
Preview your video to see how it looks with the green screen removed. If you are satisfied with the result, you can export your video.
